Born and raised in Assam, UKD's musical journey began at a young age, and his dedication to the art has persisted throughout the years. A proficient musician, he boasts mastery over nearly 20 instruments, with tabla serving as the cornerstone of his musical foundation. In addition to tabla, UKD skilfully plays instruments such as Cajon, Darbuka, Djembe, bongo, drums, dholak, Kanjira, shree Khol, and Bangla dhol, among others. His love for acoustic instruments is evident in the rich and varied sounds he brings to his performances.
